Macroforms (2019) - Milled Pavement Records

The third offering from the intrepid reptiles, Macroforms is a meditation on the shape of our universe - a treatise on the unknowable. Subjects range from substance and technological addiction to the heat death of the universe to the microcosm of love between individual human beings. Influenced by countless video game OSTS, the written works of William Gibson (in particular Mona Lisa Overdrive), and the spacewalk scene in Final Fantasy VIII, Macroforms is dubldragon.’s most ambitious undertaking to date, both in terms of lyrical scope and level of musical depth and intricacy.

Y Wulvz? (2015) - Deep Thinka Records

The sophomore effort of the dragons dubl, a journey through and around the human psyche and heart, questioning the behaviors, instincts, and actions of humankind stretching from our origins into the future. Inspired by and based on From Software’s game Bloodborne, the central question posed is why, given the chance to be anything, would we choose to fall upon one another like wolves? Dan’s blend of production and live instrumentation is on full display across the whole record but particularly in the live guitar and bass used in the title track, exemplified by not one, but two guitar solos.

Double Dragon (2014) - Self-released

The debut release from dubldragon., an almost-self-titled record which acts more as a proof of concept for the group than anything, compared to the sweeping epics and concept albums they would go on to create in the future. With some lyrics and beats having come from earlier efforts on either side, and some songs featuring wholly original compositions, the pair assembled these 13 tracks over the course of three months to prepare for the Perceptive Perspectives Tour in 2014, which would see them traveling through the Pacific North West all the way up to Vancouver, Canada.
